Universal has just completed a three month office interiors project, to support the continued growth of a long-standing client, Premier Quality Foods.
When the large food wholesaler began preparing for its Yorkshire expansion, Universal was the obvious choice to bring its new purpose-built premises to life. Having provided strategic office supplies to the client since 2010, Universal understands the brand inside out. The team was therefore well-placed to help turn this blank canvas into a fresh, productive and engaging workspace for 36 staff.
Drawing upon the experience of Universal’s interior fit out and refurbishment specialists, the team commenced work in May. The project began with an initial site audit, whereby the surveyors and designers assessed and planned the space, having digested the client’s brief. Everything was considered, from the layout of office furniture, to the overall look and feel that the premises had to achieve. A series of conceptual designs were prepared, before the chosen theme was refined.
Universal then executed every element of the works, from the ceiling to the floor and everything in between. All furniture, including cherry romano desking, bespoke seating, and storage, was supplied.
The client now has a modern, vibrant call centre, which reflects the professionalism and personality of the brand. The project was completed on time and to budget, leaving Premier Quality Foods’ Director Ryan O’Donnell very satisfied with every element of the works.
“Knowing Universal’s experience in the field of office interiors, and having worked with the company for many years, we knew we’d be in safe hands throughout the duration of the project,” Ryan said. “From the initial space audit, and during the design, planning and fit out stages that followed, their turnkey service meant the three month job was completely hassle-free for us. I enjoyed and respected their approach to collaborative working and love the finished result. The fact that we only have one invoice to pay, is the icing on the cake.”
Reflecting on the project, Universal’s Director Mark Broadbent adds: “We specialise in fit out projects of this nature and are delighted with the finished result. The feedback from the Premier team has been very positive with the departmental ergonomic colour coordinated seating as well as the latest “Move” bench desking systems. We know the client will thrive in the environment and look forward to being their strategic office supplies partner long into the future.”
